Security against BF Attacks
Vittox datacenter is being protected against Brute-Force attacks for the following protocols:
- HTTP - Access through a Web Authentication service
- HTTPS - Access through a Secure-Web Authentication service
- POP3 - Access through a POP Mail Authentication service
- SMTP - Access through a SMTP Mail Authentication service
- FTP - Access through an FTP Authentication server
- Webmail - Access through a WebMail Authentication service
When access is denied after more that 7 authentication errors, the firewall of the compromised server blocks silently the IP for that access during a period about 1 to 2 hours. This is enough to protect every server against Brute-Force attacks.

Encrypted Data
In the information era, the industry-spy sector has evolved together with the new tecnologies and statistically, one of the most frequent attacks comes from your Internet providers infrastructure.
It does not mean that your provider is directly involved, but anyone with access through the same Internet network can access your computer in many ways using Sniffers area data-decoders that are inteligent enough to filter emails, chat conversations, ftp transfers and more.
A solution for that is to encrypt the communications between you and your server to be secure that you are not being copied.
Vittox offers secure email encryption, secure file transfer protocols (FTPS) for uploading and downloading files with total encryption and of course the web encrypted solutions using different SSL certificates to encrypt important contents and transactions, like payment using CC (credit cards).

Behaviour from the users defines how the Mail services will be perceived to the external world of servers. In our Data Center we have absolute control regarding the infrastructure use such as bandwith, error messages for HTTP, HTTPS, POP, POPS, SMTP, SMTPS, FTP and FTPS protocols.
Mission critical applications on the Datacenter requires us to maintain strictly control of both privacy and anti-spam policies to protect the investment of every customer. Vittox has developed many monitoring tools to provide security alarms that prevent failures.
Effective results can only be obtained with a strict discipline not only by applying the administrative control of our actual policies but also by improving those policies together with the new technology.
